Setting up your first proxy
Getting started with proxies can seem daunting, but ByteZero makes the process simple and straightforward. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your first proxy and start enjoying secure, anonymous, and efficient internet access.
Step 1: Choose the Right Proxy Type

Before setting up your proxy, identify the type of proxy that fits your needs:
Residential Proxies
: Best for anonymity and bypassing restrictions.
IPv6 Residential Proxies
: Residential proxies with the latest IPv6 protocol, make sure your target website is IPv6 compatible.
Datacenter Proxies
: Ideal for high-speed tasks like web scraping.
IPv6 Proxies
: Datacenter proxies with the latest IPv6 protocol, make sure your target website is IPv6 compatible.
Mobile Proxies
: Perfect for managing social media or mobile app testing.
ISP Proxies
: Combines speed with residential authenticity for tasks like e-commerce automation.
Step 2: Obtain Your Proxy Credentials

Once you've selected your proxy plan:
1.
Log in to your ByteZero
dashboard
.
2.
Select a proxy plan or claim 100MB for free.
3.
Go to the
Management
tab, choose an active proxy, and open the
Generate Proxies
section.
4.
Fill in the required fields (Host Port, Username, Password, and location settings).
5.
Click
Generate Proxies
to complete the setup.
Your proxies are now ready to use!
Step 3: Configure Your Device or Application

Set up your proxy in your preferred device or software. Here’s how to configure common platforms:
Web Browser (Chrome/Firefox)

Go to your browser settings.
2.
Find the
Network
or
Proxy
section.
3.
Enter the proxy IP, port, username, and password provided in your ByteZero dashboard.
Scraping Tools or Applications
#
1.
Open the settings of your scraping tool (e.g., Python scripts, Scrapy, or Selenium).
2.
Add the proxy details to the configuration file or script.
